Bell Lap Cycleworks Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 12, 2026
Last Updated: February 12, 2026
Bell Lap Cycleworks LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website belllap-cycleworks.com. We respect your privacy and are committed to being straightforward about how we collect and use your information. This privacy policy explains what data we gather when you visit our site, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
Information We Collect
We collect information in a few ways depending on how you interact with our site:
Information you give us directly: When you fill out our contact form, schedule a service, or send us an email, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any other details you include in your message. We only collect what you choose to share with us.
Information collected automatically: When you visit our website, certain technical data is collected automatically. This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, pages you visit, time spent on those pages, and referring website. This data is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies (more on that below).
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for straightforward purposes:
- To respond to your questions, service requests, and form submissions
- To schedule and manage bike fitting appointments, tune-ups, repairs, and other services
- To improve our website and understand how visitors use it
- To communicate with you about your service or inquiry
- To maintain and troubleshoot our website
We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t rent it out. We don’t share it with third parties for their marketing purposes. It’s that simple.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to help the site function properly and to understand how people use it. Here’s what we use:
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to track general website traffic patterns, such as which pages are popular, how long visitors stay, and how they found us. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data in an aggregated, anonymous form. We don’t use it to identify individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
Essential cookies: Some cookies are necessary for the website to function — things like remembering your session or loading pages correctly. These can’t be turned off without breaking the site.
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can block or delete cookies, but some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.
Third-Party Services
We use a few third-party tools to run our website and manage our business. These services may collect data as part of their normal operation:
- Google Analytics — Website traffic analysis (see Cookies section above)
- Gravity Forms — Handles our contact form submissions. Form data is stored on our web server and is only accessible to us
- Hubtiger — Manages service booking and scheduling. When you book through our site, Hubtiger processes your appointment information according to their own privacy policy
Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them if you have specific concerns. We’ve chosen these tools because they’re reliable and handle data responsibly.
Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it:
- Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 2 years so we can reference past conversations and service history
- Analytics data: Google Analytics retains data according to their standard retention settings (26 months by default)
- Service records: We may keep records of services performed on your bike for your benefit and ours — this helps if you come back for future work
If you’d like us to delete your personal information, just ask. We’ll take care of it promptly.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Opt out of analytics tracking via the Google Analytics opt-out tool
- Withdraw consent for any data processing based on your consent
We’re a small local business, and we want to do right by our customers. If you have a request about your data, we’ll handle it quickly and without hassle.
Children’s Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll post the updated policy on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. We recommend checking back occasionally, but we won’t make any changes that reduce your protections without making it clear.
